Ryan Tulon, L.Ac.
My interest in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) grew after joining a TCM student club at Tsinghua University in Beijing where I was studying Chinese in 2012. Seeing the level of integration between Western and Eastern medicine in China, and later Taiwan, inspired me to become a licensed acupuncturist. My goal is to help TCM become a mainstay in modern U.S. medicine, as I experienced in Asia.
I received my Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Texas Health and Science University in Austin, TX in 2019. I am board certified and a diplomate of Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I hold active licenses in both Iowa and Texas. After graduating, I moved to the Houston area to work at Modern Acupuncture, where I specialized in facial rejuvenation and distal needling. In July 2021, I moved back to my hometown of Bettendorf, IA to build my own practice. In addition to acupuncture, I also provide cupping, moxibustion, and herbal therapy.
In my spare time, I enjoy riding my bicycle and dog sitting. I am an avid lover of bubble milk tea. Recently I have been getting involved in the Quad Cities pickleball community!

Ryan Tulon, L.Ac. founded RT Acupuncture to help people in the Quad Cities get relief from a multitude of conditions. Acupuncture can be an excellent supplement to Western medical care, both preventatively and as part of an active treatment plan. Some people are aware that acupuncture can treat pain and stress, but did you know that it can provide benefit to most ailments? From seasonal annoyances such as allergies and common colds to life-changing events like Bell’s Palsy or stroke recovery, traditional Chinese medicine has been helping people for thousands of years. Ryan has experience using TCM to successfully treat a variety of people and conditions, including those listed above. He is also trained in facial rejuvenation, which can decrease the appearance of fine lines on the face by helping the body to produce more collagen and elastin.
